The Study Of Effect On The Hemodynamics Of The End Of Internal Carotid Artery (ICA) When Acupunture Gongsun And Neiguan Points

Objective:Examine the changes of the the end of internal carotid artery(ICA) blood speeds,the pulsation index and the resistance index(RI) number when acupuncture the Gongsun and Neiguan points by the TCD.At last,discuss the therapeutic mechanism and the effect of the acupunture of Gongsun and Neiguan points.At last,Discuss the influence mechanism of the acupuncture of the Gongsun and Neiguan points to the brain blood quantity,clariyfy the relativity between needle insertion,needle retention and needle manipulation and withdraw the needles and the variety of the brain bloods,and provide the theories for the clinic.Methods:Subjects were 12 normal young healthy volunteers(7 men,5 women,aged 22 years old to 26 years old,average age(24±2)).Both Gongsun and Neiguan were punctured with a Chinese stainless steel needle.Depth of acupuncture was 15 millimeter.The diameter of the needle was 250μm.Then, We evaluated the peak velocity of systolic(Vs),the peak velocity of diastolic (Vd),the velocity of mean(Vm),the pulsation index(PI) and the resistance index(RI) of the end of internal carotid artery(ICA) before,during and after the acupuncture of Gongsun and Neiguan points by appling TCD.Results:The peak velocity of systolic(Vs),the peak velocity of diastolic(Vd) and the velocity of mean(Vm) of the end of internal carotid artery(ICA) obviously changed durning the acupuncture of Gongsun points and Neiguan points,however,the pulsation index(PI) and the resistance index(RI) did not change obviously.In general,there was no significance in StatisticsConclusion:1.The acupuncture of Gongsun and Neiguan points could raise the kinds of velocity of Terminal internal carotid artery(ICA). 2.The acupuncture of Gongsun and Neiguan points has no obvious effect on the vascular resistance of the end of internal carotid artery and Heart rate.3.The residual effect of acupuncture was not obvious.4.The acupuncture of Gongsun and Neiguan points can increase blood flow of the terminal internal carotid artery.
