In addition,Barthel Index were used to measure the activities of daily life of the patients both on admission and on leaving hospital. The descriptive,non-parametric statistics,χ~2 test and logistic regression regression analysis were adopted.ResultS。(1)The frequency PSD was 25.88%in male patients and 56.78%in female patients on admission, the difference has statistical meaning; The ratio of moderate and severe PSD was 34.09%in male patients and 63.49%in female patients on admission, the difference has statistical meaning.(2)To age and marital relations, there were significant differences in score of social support, objective support status, subjective support status and utilization of support.(3)Single-factor analysis showed that PSD and status of social support correlated significantly with degree of ADL improvement.Conclusions。(1)Female patients are more vulnerable to have PSD than male patients. More over, moderate PSD and severe PSD was found more frequent in female patients than in male patients.(2)Elderly stroke patients(>55 years old) has less social support than those who less than 55 years old.The patients who has spouse have more social support than those who loss spouse.(3)The stroke patients who has no PSD are more likely to improve ADL than those who has moderate or severe PSD during rehabilitation treatment; The stroke patients who get more social support are more likely to improve ADL than those who get less social support during rehabilitation treatment.
