Objective1.Measuring the change of serum and urine of monocyte chemoatractant protein-1 in children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura,in order to probe into the clinical significance of monocyte chemoatractant protein-1 in children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura nephritis.2.At the same time comparison of the relevance of serum and urine of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1,to investigate the impact of both of them in children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura nephritis.3.Selecting 25 cases with Henoch-Schonlein purpuranephritis in recovery duration, three months post-discharge follow up,monitoring urine MCP-1 consistence dynamically, assessing prognosis.Methods1.Sera and urine of MCP-1 were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assayin 50 patients with Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP),(25 of them patients with which renal injury),and other 25 healthy children,in comparison of changes of serum and urine of MCP-1.2.At the same time serum urea nitrogen, creatinine, urinary albumin, urine NAG, urineβ2-MG,24 hours urinary levels of protein were investigated with HSPN,analysing of the correlation between these indicators and urine MCP-1.3.Urine of MCP-1 in HSPN group were measured in recovery duration, and were compared with urine of MCP-1 in HSP group and HSPN group in acute duration.Results1.The expression of sera MCP-1 was higher in HSPN group in acute duration than in HSP group and healthy controls, but no siginicant difference in the three groups (P>0.05).The expression of urine MCP-1 was significantly higher in HSPN group in acute duration than HSP group and healthy controls, and significant difference were found in three groups(P<0.05).2.Urine MCP-1 level were associated with proteinuria in children with HSPN in acute duration, but serum MCP-1 levels has nothing to do with HSPN.3.There was a close correlation between urine MCP-1 expression and urinary albumin, urine NAG,urineB2-MG and 24 hours urinary levels of protein in acute duration, but the expression of urine MCP-1 level was not correlated to the serum urea nitrogen and creatinine.4.There were statistically significance of urine MCP-1 in acute and recovery duration with HSPN group(P<0.05).ConclusionsMCP-1 was one of the inflammatory response factor in acute phase with HSPN,which may play a role in inflammatory injury;urine MCP-1 might be one of the feasible predictor to evaluate the degree of renal injury in children HSP.
