The Influence Of Injecting Triamcinolone Acetonide Acetate On Rabbit Calcaneal Tendons

Objective: To comprehend the architecture and mechanics efficiency of achilles tendon after local injecting Triamcinolone Acetonide,make an appreciation of the changes of the architecture and mechanics efficiency after local injecting Triamcinolone Acetonide on the rabbit's achilles tendon.The investigation which study the changes of the rabbit's achilles tendon with different times injection can offer the accordance to the detail studies.Methods: Devided 30 healthy majoy rabbits into 3 units randomly.Unit A: infiltrating injected into the point which is 1cm upon the achilles tendon insertion of the right hind limb with 30 mg Triamcinolone Acetonide mixed with 1ml Lidocaine,the same point injected with the Sodium Chloride in the same way,once a week,just only once.Unit B: the same ways once a week but lasts two weeks.Unit C:the same ways once a week but lasts three weeks. Achilles tendon was taken out from each hind in one week after the injection.All the specimens were detected by the histological observation and biomechanical examination to comprehend the effects of the injection to achilles tendon with Triamcinolone Acetonide.Results: Compared with the control group, morphologica of the group injected corticosteroid are changed, the blank of the tendon bundle became wider. The parallel position of the collagen fabrics is destroyed,some collagen fabrics are fracture. All the changes related with the injection times.There was a significant difference of biomechanical change between the group injected corticosteroid and the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion: The local injecting gucocorticoid triamcinolone acetonide causes changes in the achilles tendon ,not only the structures but also the biomechanical.All the changes are related with injection times,which should to be cautious in clinical application.
