Studies On The Quality Standard And The Main Pharmacodynamics Of Ganhuan Zaoshi Lotion

Ganhuan Zaoshi Lotion is made from the two kinds of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) glycyrrhiza and cortex phellodendri. It was organized by the dermatological department of Tongling people's hospital. This Lotion was mainly used for curing eczema clinically. Glycyrrhiza have the effect of heat-clearing and detoxicating .The main components of glycyrrhizic acid and glycyrrhetinic acid having the similar biological activity as corticotrophin's. Cortex phellodendri can clear heat, purge fire-evil, deprive the evil wetness, eliminate parboil, neutralize poison and treat sore, which is frequently used for invigorating stomach, stopping leak, dephlogisticating. It mainly treats hygropyretic diarrhea, jaundice, fluor, and comprises berberine for bacteriostasis. Liquorice and phellodendron, each complements the other, which have the efficiency for heat-clearing, detoxicating, depriving the evil wetness and alleviating itching commonly. As a praeparatum of Chinese formulated products, the GZL has been used for many years, but it lacked consummate quality criteria clinically. To reflect internal quality overall and institute quality criteria is very important for quality control, for the compositions of Chinese formulated products were complicated. Considering the combinated effectiveness of glycyrrhiza and cortex phellodendri according to the theory of Chinese medicines, we used modern methods of pharmacology to investigate the GZL in the anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, anti-allergic and immunosuppressive effects through animal experiments. This research not only provided a scientific basis for its therapeutic effects, but also was the development requirement for the standardization and internationalization of modern Chinese medicines.This paper provided for the quality standards of GZL in accordance with the "Chinese Pharmacopoeia" (2005 edition),and studied the main pharmacodynamics according to the methords of modern pharmacology. The specific content of the study included the following two parts:1. Research for quality standards creation of Ganhuan Zaoshi Lotion.This experiment investigated the quality control according to the "Chinese Pharmacopoeia" (2005 edition) and instituted the quality evaluation methods for GZL. Using the Ammonium glycyrrhizinate and berberine hydrochloride for the target component, the qualitative thin-layer chromatography (TLC) and quantitative high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) research were well studied in the dissertation. the other index such as pH, the relative density were also examined under the requirements of lotion in accordance with " Chinese Pharmacopoeia "(2005 edition). Based on test results of three batches of samples, the paper formulated a quality standards draft and provide a scientific basis for the quality control of GZL.2. The main pharmacodynamics studies of GZL.In this paper the antipruritic,anti-inflammatory, anti-allergy and antibacterial effects of GZL were also studied by animal experiments . The anti-inflammatory action were observed by the methods dimethyl-benzene induced external ear swelling and fresh albumen induced paw acute inflammatio in mouse. The antipruritic action were observed by the methods histamine phosphate induced itch in guinea pigs.The anti-allergy action were observed by the methods 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzo induced the delayed type hypersensitivity in mouse . The results showed that GZL has obvious anti-allergy,antipruritic, anti-anaphylaxis and immunodepressive effects.All results mentioned above show that this experiment successfully build the quality standard of GZL. The methods of determination is simple,rapid and has a good reproduction quality and strong characteristic. The quality standard is suitable for the quality judgement and the quality estimation of this drug. In addition,the results of the main pharmacodynamics studies indicates that GZL has obvious anti-allergy ,antipruritic, anti-anaphylaxis and immunodepressive effects. The experiment has tried a preliminary exploration on the function and provided pharmacologic related data for GZL.
