Caper Euphorbia Seed is the dried ripe seed of Euphorbia lathyris L. Edema or retained fluid with abdominal distension. The study found Semen Euporbiae has the exact effect in the anti-tumor and treatment of leukemia. Semen Euporbiae taste "Sim, mild; toxic", it is a toxic medicine. Although substantial research about the chemical composition of Semen Euporbiae has been reported, the exact toxic components is indeterminate, so it is unable to determine toxic composition, to draw up the limit of toxic composition. The purpose of this project is to clarify the toxic composition of Semen Euporbiae, set up methods of detection and content analysis, and provide the scientific basis for the protection of medication safety and the improvement of quality standards.
