Study On Expression Of Artemin And GFRa3 In Pancreatic Carcinoma And Their Relationship With Perineural Invasiveness And Metastasis

Objective:To investigate the dependablity between the expression of Artemin and GFRα3 and perineural invasion and metastasis of pancreatic carcinoma.Methods:Semi-quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) and Immunohistechemical SP(streptavidin-perosidase) method was used to detect the expression of Artemin and GFRα3 in tisues of pancreatic carcinoma ,para-carcinoma tissues and normal pancreas.To observation the dependablity between the positive expression of Artemin and GFRα3 and perineural invasion , metastasis , tumor differentiation and other indicators of clinical pathology of pancreatic carcinoma.Results:The positive expression of Artemin and GFRα3 in pancreatic carcinoma were (72.09% ,67.44%),which were significantly higher than those in para-carcinoma tissue(18.19%22.73%,P<0.01)).It showed that the positive rates of Artemin and GFRα3 expression in patients with perineural invasion were higher than that without perineural invasion(X2=11.11,11.78;P<0.01).The positive expression rates of Artemin and GFRα3 were significantly related to the lymphatic metastasis pathology type and clinical stage (X2=13.01,13.93,P<0.01;X2=4.56,4.91,P<0.05),but they did not correlated with sex,age,tumor size,tumor site and tumor differentiation (X2=0.01~0.97;P>0.05).The expression of Artemin mRNA in pancreatic carcinoma were(0.741±0.014),which were significantly higher than those in normal pancreas tissue(0.101±0.031) (P<0.05).It showed that the positive rates of Artemin mRNA expression in patients with perineural invasion(0.843±0.012) were higher than that without perineural invasion(0.512±0.017)(P<0.05).Conclusions:The expression of Artemin and GFRα3 may play an important role in nervous infilrtation of pancreatic carcinoma,Their expression may be a usefull indicator for the biological behavior of pancreatic carcinoma.
