This research uses the curcumin function to on HepG2/ADM, multidrug-resistant human hepatocelluar carcinoma cell line, whether there is observes it to reverse the hepatocarcinoma drug resistance function.Methods HepG2/ADM cell line was established through increasing ADM with concentration gradient method. The cell viability was determined by MTT. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect expression of HepG2/ADM and parents. The effects of curcumin at different concentration on HepG2/ADM cells were observed by microscope and detected by MTT. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to detect concentration of ADM in cells.Results Human multidrug-resistant hepatocarcinoma cell line model HepG2/ADM showed significantly lower MDR than HepG2. Use curcumine to the model HepG2/ADM, which show significantly ability to reverse MDR, and the expression of P-gp is increasing.Conclusions Curcumin can reverse multidrug resistance of HepG2/ADM cells through inhibiting P-gp-mediated drug efflux and subsequently increased accumulation of drugs.
