Objective: To investigate the serum MBL levels of recurrent spontaneous abortion patients with healthy controls and approach the association of MBL with immunity and infection in RSA. Provide evidence for the personal prevention and treatment of RSA.Methods: The concentrations of MBL in serum in patients with RSA and healthy controls were measured by ELISA kit. Analyze the relationship with MBL sereum level and expression of immnnity antibodies, pathogen infection.Results:1. The Expression of Serum MBL is in nonnormal distribution in spontaneous abortion patients and healthy controls.2. the level of MBL in study group is 523±407ng/ml with median 382ng/ml; The level of MBL in control group is 654±465ng/ml with median 582 ng/ml. Thirty-nine women in study group (70.9%) had MBL concentrations less than 550ng/mL(the low limited value used abroad) incomparison with ten in control group (45.5%). There was significant difference between two groups (P<0.05 ) .3. In patients with RSA, twenty-two in immunity antibodie positive group (68.8%) had MBL concentrations less than 550ng/ml incomparison with seventeen in immunity antibodie negtive group (73.9%). There was no significant difference between two groups (P>0.05) .4. In patients with RSA, twenty-one in infection group (80.8%) had MBL concentrations less than 550ng/ml incomparison with eighteen in non-infection group (62.1%). There was no significant difference between two groups (P>0.05) ; six in non-infection group (23.1%) had MBL concentrations less than 200ng/ml incomparison with one in non-infection group (3.45%). There was no significant difference between two groups (P > 0.05) .Conclusions :1. The Expression of Serum MBL was in wide range and nonnormal distribution in spontaneous abortion patients and healthy controls.2. The rate of decreased MBL level ( <550ng/ml) was signifieantly higher in Patients with RSA than healthy controls, there wes an obvious statistical diffrence(P<0.05). Low serum MBL concentration may be a predisposition of RSA.3. Low MBL level which caused infection may be one of the predisposing factors of RSA.4. In Patients with RSA , there was no evident relation with the MBL level and immunity factor.
