| Objective:To evaluate the correlation between the characteristics of intratumural blood flow assessed by three diamensional color power angiography(3D - CPA) and MVD, CD146 expression in ovarian epithelial tumor.Methods:Blood flow signals of ovarian tumor were preoperatively detected by 3D-CPA in 62 patients(16 cases of ovarian epithelial benign tumor,6 cases of borderline ovarian tumor,40 cases of ovarian epithelial carcinoma). Expression of VEGF,CD146 and MVD in tumors were assessed immunohistochemically. The specimens of 62 patients,8 specimens of normal ovarian tissues and 20 cases of metastatic focus tissues on omentum were examined by Western blot analysis for detecting protein expression of CD146.Results:Blood flow grade in ovarian cancer group was significantly higher than that in benign group. The expression of MVD in ovarian cancer group is significantly higher than that in benign group.And the expression of VEGF in ovarian cancer group was obviously higher than that in benign group.Correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between blood flow grade and MVD,VEGF.Western blot showed CD146 protein optical density was 0.31±0.16,0.35±0.16,0.60±0.09,0.64±0.10 respectively in normal ovarian tissues, ovarian epithelial benign tumor tissues, ovarian epithelial carcinoma tissues and metastatic focus on omentum.MVD in positive expression of CD146 in the ovarian epithelial carcinoma tissues was higher than that in the negative tissues.High expression of CD146 protein was associated with clinical stage and lymphonode metabasis but not with age, pathological type,ascites and degree of CA125. Correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between positive expression of CD146 and MVD,blood flow grade.Conclusion:3D-CPA has provided sensitive information for the clinical diagnosis of ovarian cancer,and expression of VEGF and MVD may provide a reliable basis of pathology for the clinical application of 3D-CPA.High CD146 expression may be not only related to benign and malignancy of the ovarian tumors,but also to progression and metastasis of ovarian carcinoma,CD146 may play important role in angiogenesis of malignant tumor. Correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between CD146 and blood flow grade. |
