Extraction, Isolation And Identification Of Flavones In Mongolian Medicine "Loulu Flower"

Mongolian medecine "Loulu flower " belongs to the family Asteraceae . There are a wide variety of therapeutic uses of "Loulu flower", including heat-clearing,detoxicating and alleviation of pain. Flavonoids which were reported to be the biologically active constituents are responsible for the therapeutic action of this drug. In order to develop and use them effectively, exctraction, isolation and identification of flavonoids compounds in "Loulu flower" are studied in this paper.Exctraction of flavonoids compounds adopt traditional reflux method. Selecting amount of flavonoids as standard according to L₉(3⁴) orthogonal design table, the experiment choose ethanol and water as resolvent. So the optimum extract conditions are obtained. By a series test and verify experiment, the optimum extract technology of two methods are stability and high content. And the methods are accurate and precise. The conclusion offers a scientific developing of "Lolu flower " .The ethanol extraction of "Lolu flower " was separated by column chromatography, preparative TLC and recrystallization methods. Structures of the pure compounds were established on the basis of its physiochemical and spectral data. Two compounds named quercetin and kaempferol are obtained and these compounds are isolated from "Loulu flower" for the first time.
