Effects Of NaoLing Decoction On MMSE And Cerebrospinal Fliud IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α Cytokines In Brain And EEG For AD Paitients

Objective:To observe the clinical effects and mechanism of NaoLing decoction on mild and moderate AD patients with kidney essence deficiency and blood stasis obstruct meridian syndrome.Method:40 cases of AD patients with kidney essence deficiency and blood stasis obstruct meridian syndrome were randomly divided into two groups:TCM treatment group and western medicine control group, 20 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated by NaoLing decoction,while the control group was treated by Donepezil,4 weeks for a course.To observe the two groups' changes in MMSE and cerebrospinal fliud IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-αcytokines and EEG improvement after treatment.Results:1.After 4 weeks treatments,the total effect of treatment group and control group is considerable,the treatment group on reducing cerebrospinal fliud IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-αcytokines,are better than the control group(p＜0.05),while the improvement of EEG and improvement in MMSE score scale,is considerable with the control group.2.The treatment group significantly reduce cytokines content in AD patients' cerebrospinal fluid IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α(p＜0.01).Conclusion:1.The NaoLing decoction has exact effect for AD patients with kidney essence deficiency and blood stasis obstruct meridian syndrome,and minor adverse reactions in clinical trials.2.The NaoLing decoction can reduce the proinflammatory cytokine levels in the brain,this maybe is one of control mechanism of prevention and treatment the Alzheimer's disease.
