Thus put forward the physiological and pathological views of mutual dependence and mutual conformation between physique and spirit .It dealed mainly with the clinical significance of the theory in diagnosis, treatment, judgement of prognosis and so on. It holded that in order to make a correct diagnosis there needed an observation of both physique and spirit especially the latter, not simply the external manifestations such as eyes, complexion, pulse, vitality and so on .As regard the treatment based on syndrome differentiation, one must treat both the physique and spirit simultaneously. When judging the prognosis of a disease, The importance of observing spirit was obviously. on the aspect of keeping healthy, special emphasis was put on both the physique and spirit, the latter was more significant. At last, with combination of the human's health, development of psychosomatic medicine such problems in reference to modern medicine, the passage raised the concepts of the physique and spirit being healthy together, the physique and spirit being important simultaneously. Thus the theory was endowed with a new sense.
