Objective In order to investigate the epidemics of Nipah virus(NiV) in Guizhou Zunyi and its vicinal regions. Methods 1. According to the specific sequence of NiV N gene, the primer and the fluorescence probe were synthesized as design. The positive recombinant plasmid would be used as standard quantitative template to make the standard curve for sample detection, and then established the method of real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(PCR) with fluorescence quantitative PCR. 2. N fragment of NiV in peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) from:â‘ 112 patients probably getting along with viral infection and from 82 healthy persons as controls,â‘¡and 150 pigs, were examined by real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(PCR) with fluorescence quantitative PCR. Gene sequence and amino acid sequence were analyzed for positive products. Results NiV N fragment examination from 112 patients's and 82 healthy persons's, 150 pigs PBMCs were all negative. Conclusion Data indicated that there were no NiV infection in Guizhou Zunyi and its vicinal regions. NiV infection was possibly existed in certain regions. The epidemic regulation of NiV infection requires further study in Guizhou Zunyi regions and throughout our country.
