In modern Chinese traditional medicine in the prevention and control of bacterial infection, plays an active role. Due to the current western medicine treatment when the pathogen easy to bring the drug resistance and big toxicity, Therefore, the research exploration of anti- bacteria Chinese traditional medicine which have small toxicity and are not easy to produce the drug resistance is an urgent duty. Astragalus and Scutellaria are China's traditional Chinese medicine, Safety and abound resources, its active ingredient has also shown a variety of bacteria Inhibitory. Although there are lots of reports about Astragalus and Scutellaria, there are few Special reports about its extract determination and antimicrobial activities. Therefore, In this paper, particular research its antimicrobial activities. In this paper, firstly, using different concentrations of alcohol extraction method, poach law and water-alkali method extract Astragaloside, The results showed that 80% of alcohol extraction method is the best way. Then, we applied the ethanol-alkali extraction method to extract astragalus polysaccharides. The optimum extraction condition was identified by single factor investigation, the extr-action condition was as follow: pH of extraction solvent was 12, extraction time was 60min, the ratio of material to extraction solvent was 1:10, ,ethanol concentration of extraction solvent was 5%.Secondly, using different methods extract baicalin, By measuring the content of Baicalin to elect the most suitable method of extraction. The results showed that aquae tepida-alkali extraction is the best way.Lastly, In accordance with previous experiments have been the best way to extract astragaloside, astragalus polysaccharides and baicalin. Then, they will be on the inhibition of Escherichia coli , Bacillus subtilis,Lactobacillus acidophilus,Staphylococcus aureus,P.aeruginosa and Salmonella in vitro experiments, mensurating its antibacterial diameter and MIC.We can found: 1.Antibacterial alone: baicalin inhibition of the maximum capacity, astragaloside times, and the worst Astragalus Polysaccharide. 2.Compounded astragaloside and baicalin with different proportions to restrain bacterias. When inhibition in Bacillus subtilis, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Staphylococcus aureus,Mixture'santimicrobial ability higher than astragaloside antibacterial ability to separate but lower than baicalin antibacterial ability to separate. When inhibition in Escherichia coli, P.aeruginosa and Salmonella, the inhibitory effect of mixed ingredients are basically weaker than astragaloside, baicalin antibacterial alone.
