Growth and development of infants are affected by genetic, nutritional, environmental, disease and other factors, feeding is one of the most important factors that affects growth and development of infants and young children.Reasonable nutrition is the basis for growth and development of children, inappropriate feeding practices, not only can cause growth retardation, will also affect intellectual development. With the social progress and people's living standards, raising a strong physique and high-IQ child become more young parents′hope,and also become an important topic of social concern.Objective: Investigation and analysis of breast-feeding and artificial feeding on infant development, we understand the effect on artificial feeding and mental development , strengthen lactation education, improve breastfeeding rates,provide a basis for occurrence on reduction of infant and young child nutrition disordersMethods: January 2007 - June 2009, full-term deliveries of pregnant women at the Second Hospital of Jilin University, a regular basis in the receive system management on children's health clinic about 0~2 year-old normal children, according to their feeding into breast-feeding group and the artificial feeding group. The survey were obtained from 381, including 218 breast-feeding, artificial feeding 163.using a combination of questionnaire survey and the actual measurement, investigating growth and development and the prevalence of common diseases, and using the Denver psychological examination to investigate the infant state of developmentResults: From 42 days to 24 months after birth, breast-feeding infants were significantly higher than the average height of artificial feeding infants, both P<0.05 12 months later, the average weight of breast-feeding infants were also significantly higher than that of artificial feeding infants, both P<0.05. Breast-feeding and artificial infant feeding in all-month-old infants suffer from nutritional anemia paragraphs ,It's no statistical significance,all P>0.05. Six months after birth, artificial feeding infants' the prevalence of rickets was significantly higher, significantly higher than the breast-feeding infants, both P<0.05. Since the 42 days to 24 months after birth, artificial feeding infants suffering from infantile diarrhea rate was also higher than breast-feeding infants, both P<0.05. From the beginning of 3 months after birth, artificial feeding on infant pneumonia was significantly higher than the incidence of breast-feeding infants, both P<0.05. In smart development, 42 days after birth, there are no difference, all P>0.05.between the breast-feeding infants and the artificial feeding infants .from 3 months to 24 months after birth, breast-feeding children in language and gross motor, two major categories of projects in various sub-items were significantly higher than artificial feeding infants all P<0.05.The survey also showed that infants and young children from 12 months since high levels of education and in science, education, health care of working mothers, infants and young children in language, fine motor and gross motor development in a significant better than the other infants and young children ,P <0.05 . Vaginal delivery infants and young children in language and gross motor developmental aspects of cesarean section is superior to those ,P <0.05. However, also found that: cesarean section, education specialist for more than this, household income is high rate of breast-feeding mothers to take was significantly lower than after vaginal delivery, education and family income the lower, P <0.05. The higher educated businessman, cadres and other non-worker-peasant women have a higher rate of cesarean section, with an average of 47.31%, significantly higher than the lower educated workers and peasants, women and 27.21% P <0.05. Household income, the higher use of caesarean production rate (64.65%) was significantly higher than the low-income (19.18%), P <0.05.Conclusion: 1 breast-feeding infants of weight and length in infants and young children's development is superior to artificial feeding infants, so that the baby is more robust physique; 2 of breastfeeding in reducing infant diarrhea, the prevalence of rickets and pneumonia is superior to artificial feeding, can improve infant disease resistance; 3 breastfed infants and young children in language and gross motor role in the process of development is better than artificial feeding.
