Relationship Between Serum Level Of Human Urotensin Ⅱ And Carotid Atherosclerosis In The Patients With Cerebral Infarction

ObjectiveTo investigate the association between the serum level of human urotensinâ…¡(hUâ…¡) and carotid atherosclerosis (CAS) in the patients with cerebral infarction(CI). Observe the different expression level of human urotensinâ…¡in acute cerebral infarction, recurrent cerebral infarction and different type carotid atherosclerosis.Observe the relationship between serum level of human urotensinâ…¡and blood pressure,blood glucose,blood lipids and body mass index.MethodsCarotid intima-media thickness(IMT) was measured by color Doppler ultrasonography in 60 patients with cerebral infarction.The serum hUâ…¡and other biochemical markers were detected in both patients and 30 normal healthy controls.The history of hypertension diabetes,hyperlipemia,smoking and drinking were recorded,the blood pressure were also measured.ResultsThe level of hUâ…¡in patients was significant compared with normal healthy controls. Different carotid atherosclerosis groups had the same result. There are no significant difference between acute cerebral infarction and recurrent cerebral infarction.
