Objective:To analyze the potential influence of granulocyte/ granulocyte macrophage -colony stimulating factors (G/GM-CSF) on the prognosis of acute leukemic patients.Method: In 875 evaluable cases, the complete remission (CR)rate post first course of chemotherapy,CR rate, early mortality, 2 years survival rate, CR1 duration, survival period were retrospectively analyzed between the G/GM-CSF groups and control groups with Chi-square test,Logistic regression,Cox regression,Kaplan-Meier and Pearson correlation method. Results :â‘ Use of G/GM-CSF did not affect CR rate post first course of chemotherapy,CR rate, 2 years survival rate, CR1 durations and survival period between the G/GM-CSF groups and control groups in ALL patients.â‘¡Use of G/GM-CSF did not affect CR rate post first course of chemotherapy,CR rate, 2 years survival rate in AML patients, but shortened CR1 durations and survival period of AML patients with high WBC patients.â‘¢Patients administered applied with G/GM-CSF had lower early mortality.â‘£No relationship between the dosage of G/GM-CSF and CR duration or lifespan in AML patient. Conclusions:For AML patients, the application of G-CSF must be very cautions, especially patients with high WBC.
