| Purpose and Backgroud:Chronic superficial gastritis (CSG) are a kind of common diseases of digestive system, the diagnosis of CSG has been noted in up to 50%. which is a syndrome characterized by relapsed epigastric pain, and have severe impact on their living quality.This diseases pertains to the categories of"abdominal mass","distention and fullness"in TCM.Improper diet, emotional maladjustment and suffering with exogenous evil are essential etiological factors of CSG in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The directed affected position lies in stomach and spleen, and closely related to liver. Modern medicine has posses knowledge of the etiology and pathogenesis, but the treament lacks of specificity and not effective enough. With the development of society and the quicken of life space,emotion results in stomach trouble is more and more widespread. My tutor, professor Huang ming he, cures chronic superfacal gastritis due to incoordination between liver and stomach by soothe the liver and spacify the stomach.He use the"Shugan Hewei Decoction", the curative effect of which is significant. The purpose of this study is observation the treatment of"Shugan Hewei Decoction"on chronic superficial gastritis (disharmony between the liver and the stomach group).Method:All 74 patients of objects are derived from January 2009-October 2009 in Digestive clinic and ward in Shenzhen TCM hospital, who are diagnosed as CSG (liver-stomach disharmony). Using single blind method,74 subjects were randomized into two groups:control group in which 37 cases were treated with colloidal bismuth pectin and treatment group in which 37 cases were treated with"Shugan Hewei Decoction"The treatment group was treated with Shugan hewei decoction, a dose of 400ml p. d, drink 200ml in the morning and 200ml in the evening, half a hour before meal while the control group was treated with the capsule of colloidal bismuth pectin,150mg, tid. half a hour before meal, observing for 2 month and 1 month made up of a course. Before and after treatment,all the cases should take gastroscopy and pediatric orthopaedic examination. Comparing the the symptoms, endoscopy and biopsy pathological changes of patients before and after treatment, such as the gastric mucosal inflammation, bile reflux, and so on, and then using statistical analyse the results.Result:1. The two groups of patients are comparable since they have no significant differences before treatment. (P＞0.05)2. After the treatment, the total curative effect of the treatment group is86.49% and the control group is 64.87%.The statistic analysis reveals when P＜0.05, it has significant differences.3.The rusult indicate that Shuganhewei decoction can outstandingly improve most of symptoms such as stomachache, abdominal distention, belching, sourregurgitation. The relief rate of these symptoms in treatment group and control group were94.6%and 83.8%,93.3% and 71.4%,88.2% and 71.9%,87.5% and77.8%.4. To compare the result of gastroscope exams, the effective rate of the treatment group changes 89.19% while the control group64.87%. Two groups have significiant differences (P＜0.05)。While compared the conctrol group,he improvement of pathological exams, has no differences (P＞0.05)。Conclusion:Shugan Hewei decotion has the efficacy of soothe the liver and spacify the stomach. It can improve symptoms, endoscopic performance of CSG patients, so it can gain satisfactory curative effect. Shugan Hewei decotion is effective prescription for the treatment of CSG(liver-stomach disharmony), because of its easy to take and with less adverse reactions, it is worth further clinical application.
