Objective:To investigate the expression of MMP-2 and Prostasin in various regions of gastric carcinomas, adjacent normal tissues, incisal margin normal tissues and clinicopathological factors. Methods:It was twice collected that a total of 41 series of gastric carcinomas, adjacent normal tissues, incisal margin normal tissues. The expression of MMP-2 mRNA and Prostasin mRNA were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR. The expression of MMP-2 protein was detected by immunohistochemistry.Results:1,The expression of MMP-2 mRNA compared to incisal margin normal tissues in various regions of gastric carcinomas, adjacent normal tissues were 1.4254±0.46660,1.1656±0.71588. Prostasin mRNA were 0.6524±0.37602,1.1010±0.32283. It was statistically significant differences between them respectively. It was no statistically significant differences in various groups of gender, age, infiltration depth, region, differentiation. It was statistically significant differences in various groups of lymph node metastasis, stage.2,The positive ratios of MMP-2 protein in various regions of gastric carcinomas, adjacent normal tissues, incisal margin normal tissues were 60.98%,9.76%,0%, respectively. It was statistically significant differences in them. It was no statistically significant differences in various groups of gender, age, infiltration depth, region, differentiation. It was statistically significant differences in various groups of lymph node metastasis, stage.3,The level of MMP-2 mRNA did not correlated with Prostasin mRNA.The level of MMP-2 mRNA correlated with that of protein. Conclusion:MMP-2 mRNA maybe promote tumor progression and Prostasin mRNA maybe suppress tumor progression. The level of MMP-2 mRNA correlated with that of protein. It is furtherly investigated whether they have a direct or indirect relationships in MMP-2 mRNA and Prostasin mRNA.
