Clinical Analysis Of 20 Patients With Syphilis Sero-fixation

Objective To explore the possible causes that result in sero-fixation of patients with syphilis.Methods Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) routine and biochemistry, RPR, TPPA,and immunological function in 20 patients with syphilis sero-fixation were detected,and radiographic examination of multiple internal organs was performed as well.All patients were treated according to treatment of neurosyphilis. Blood seem RPR was reexamined 3 months after treatment,respectively.Results Among 20 patients CSF-TPPA was positive in 4 cases(20.0%),1 patients CSF-RPR was positive,but CSF-WBC and CSF-Pr didn't increased in 20 patients.serum IgM level increased and C3 decreased in 2 cases(10.0%),and CD8/3 cell count increased and CD4/3 cell count decreased in 14 cases(70.0%). There were 3 cases(15.0%) whose echocardiography were diminished left ventricular relaxation, slightly over the aortic valve echo and mitral valve degeneration.Brain CT and MRI of 5 cases(25.0%) were brain atrophy and Multiple lacunar lesions.According to history of patients,there were 18 cases(90.0%) who had been thrapyed to the specification since unclean sexual intercourse history happened farrer than half years.At first,they all followed by muscle injection of bicillin 2.4 million units weekly for 3 weeks.2 cases(10.0%) were thrapyed firstly by minocycline and azithromycin.The RPR titers in all patients whose diagnosis was syphilis sero-fixation did not decrease after treatment according to neurosyphilis.?Conclusion Not timely thrapy,error selection of drugs,potential organ syphilis and immune disorder may be causes of sero-fixation of syphilis.
