ObjectiveTest the statement of cerebrospinal fluid and the expression of T-lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood of syphilitic sero-resistant patients, and then explore the possible reasons of sero-resistant in syphilis.MethodsDetected the cerebrospinal fluid routine and biochemistry,RPR,TPPA of 28 syphilitic sero-resistant patients ,and detect the CD3~+,CD4~+,CD8~+ T-lymphocyte subsets of the patients and the 19 nomal controls by the flow cytometry.Results1 .At 28 syphilitic sero-resistant patients ,20 patients of cerebrospinal fluid completely normal, 7 patients of mild abnormalities in cerebrospinal fluid but no clinical significance, only 1 patient of cerebrospinal fluid abnormalities and clinical symptoms, diagnosis of neurosyphilis (3.6%) ;2.The expression of CD3~+,CD4~+,CD8~+ T-lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood of 28 syphilitic sero-resistant patients is no different to the normal controls' in statistics;3.18 cases of 28 syphilitic sero-resistant patients with one-year follow-up untreated :4 cases of RPR negative (22.2%), 1 case serological recurrence (5.6%), 13 cases of no change in titer (72.2%). The other 10 patients dropped out.ConclusionThe phenomenon of sero-resistant in syphilis may be no significant relationship with neurosyphilis, and these syphilitic sero-resistant patients with suppressed cell-mediated immunity may be not obvious.
