| ObjectiveTo investigate the operative therapy on refractory glaucoma and to found the application of incision at pars plana of ciliary on glaucoma filtering surgery.Methods73eyes of refractory glaucoma were performed surgery with Pars Plana Filtration Technique, which invented by professor Tang youzhi. The intraocular pressure and visual acuity were observed before and after the surgery.Result(1)All Patients Operation was acomplished successfully.(2)Postoperative IOP:58eyes mean IOP was13.4nunHg,6 eyes IOP ranged from 26.5mmHg to 40.3mmHg,9 eyes could not be checked up for corneal edema on l' stday;65 eyes mean IOP was 2.2mmHg to 20.5mmHg, and 3eyes IOP ranged from 21.1to 42mmHg,5 eyes could not be checked up for'corneal edema on one week.Follow up phase:65 eyes mean IOP was 12.2mmHg and 2 eye3 IOP ranged from 24.8mmHg to 29.6mmHgon one month;64eyes mean IOP was 15.2mmHg and 3 eyes IOP ranged from 23.3mmHg to 40mmHg, on 3 months;63 eyes mean IOP was10.5mmHg, one eye IOP was 21.5mmHg, on half a year:53 eyes mean IOP was 11.9mmHg. one eye IOP was 21.5mmHg, on one year.46 eyes mean IOP was 10.4mmHg.4 eyes did not check to see the doctor, on one and a half years. 33 eyes mean IOP was 11.3mmHg.11 eyes did not check to see the doctor, on 2 years.21 eyes mean IOP was 12.7mmHg.13 eyes did not check to see the doctor, on 3 years.9 eyes mean IOP was 15.6mmHg.9 eyes did not check to see the doctor, on 4 years.(3)Postoperative visual aeuity:42 NIL eyes had no change; 17 eyes were improved10 eyes were stable.(4)Postoperative ocular state:All eyes anterior chamber had deepened on different degrees:15 eyes had seston, All these inflammatory reactions were absorbed in 5days. Hyphema occurred in lleyes which were transient.2 eyes had part of choroidal detachment which was transient at one and three months differently. One eye had phthisis.ConclusionPars Plana filtration technique is one of the alternative and effective methods for the treatment of refractory glaucoma. It can be widely use in clinics.
