ObjectiveHepatocellular carcinoma after microwave coagulation factors produced pleural effusion and treatment.MethodsReview from September 2006 to June 2009,163 cases in the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of Fourth affiliated hospital of China medical university senior line of microwave coagulation therapy for liver cancer, postoperative pleural effusion in 4 cases the clinical data, reference literature therefactors and prevention of pleural effusion.ResultsFour patients were male, single lesion, preoperative CT examination with varying degrees of liver cirrhosis.Near normal preoperative liver function, abdominal ultrasonography no significant effusion, the conventional chest examination costophrenic angle sharp, no effusion.Postoperative pleural effusion:The intraoperative diaphragmatic injury in two; postoperative inflammatory reaction to one case of pleural effusion; postoperative liver function was abnormal in one case.Symptomatic treatment given to four patients also underwent pleural puncture fluid.Four cases of adverse reactions in patients with chest wearing no therapy was well reviewed when the fluid.ConclusionsMicrowave curing postoperative pleural effusion, mainly intraoperative puncture injury, caused by microwave ablation of large range of thermal damage, postoperative liver function abnormalities and other factors.Patients after treatment to improve the status of the main body, hypoproteinemia, improve liver function. When symptoms are more fluid volume, possible thoracenteses symptomatic treatment.
