| Objective:To research recent monographs and literature, and to explore characteristics and laws of Li dongyuan's poemula on spleen and stomach diseases.Methods:1.Retrospective study of literature:Around the Li dongyuan's basic theory and formula characteristic on spleen and stomach disease, ancient and modern Chinese medicine monographs and literature were reviewed, especially the characteristics of drug monographs and literature study and analysis in recent years.2.Theory connotation research.Because there are many drawbacks in the Chinese medicine literature, such as being uncertain and ambiguous. In the collection of literature, the main academic arguments and key concepts were expressed accurately.3.Statistic analysisWithin 300 spleen and stomach formulas from Li dongyuan's works, reliable data was collect by list evidence methods, different drugs were analysed by frequency analysis, literature analysis database was established on the formula characteristics and laws to spleen and stomach diseases. ResultsFrom collecting and studing Li dongyuan monographs and literature,we sum up Li dongyuan basic theory on spleen and stomach therapy, and formed a preliminary monograph literature analysis information library about the laws of formulas on spleen and stomachConclusion1 Baseing on the basic theory of Canon of Medicine, Dongyuan At proposes that the spleen and stomach is the strength of jism,and adds the inadequacy of Canon of Medicine, Dongyuan the physiological exposition about the spleen and stomach. He summarizes that, immoderate diet; excessive labor and emotional disharmony are three causes of the spleen and stomach disease.He finds out the causes of maladjusted jism and abnormal movements of stomach disease.He provides a wealth of clinical experience for the internal heat diagnosis. Thus from the physiology to pathology of spleen and stomach, and from the etiology to the diagnosis of spleen and stomach disease, he puts forward a series of personal views forms a unique theory of the spleen and stomach disease.2 Through quantitative analysis and research on Dongyuan's formulas of spleen and stomach disease,we can drew a conclusion on the characteristics of Dongyuan's formula of medicines.The characteristics lies in that, Dongyuan's formulas paying attention to the use of invigorating qi, Shenyang medicine as well as the use of resolving dampness medicine; making good use of oxy-dry Shenyang medicine, in what Cimicifuga, Bupleurum are most used;he can make flexible use of Angelica sinensis.3 After reading related works and literature of Dongyuan's, we understand it all too well.His theory is based on The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine and has deliberate novelty; his formula complies with favorable climate; he likes use light dosage with powder; he pays attention to patients' diet and care;in context of decocting and taking methods, he focuses on the protection of the spleen and stomach. Such characteristics of formulas, improve the clinical efficacy of the treatment of the spleen and stomach disease, it is worth our referencing.
