| Objective: Through research on the treatment of acute exacerbation of Xiao Bing by Shao's method, to provide a more effective, safer treatment method without side effect in clinical practice.Method: Adapting the method of random comparison, randomly divided 70 chosen patients suffering Acute Exacerbation of Xiao Bing in accordance to the selection criteria into 2 groups: experiment group (35 patients) and comparison group (35 patients). The patients in experiment group are treated by Shao's method of Wu Zhen plus combinative treatment, and the patients in comparison group are treated by Theophylline Sustained Release Tablets plus combinative treatment, with one treatment per day for patients in both groups and treatment lasting for a week. By observing and comparing the measurement of symptoms/physical index and pneumonic function between the two groups, and before and after the therapy, to observe the clinical effect of the acupuncture treatment.Result:â‘ Within the experiment group the treatment shows suppressing effect in 24 cases, significant effect in 7 cases, some effect in 1 cases, no effect in 0 cases, with total effectiveness rate of 100%. Within the comparison group the treatment shows suppressing effect in 13 cases, significant effect in 12 cases, some effect in 7 cases, no effect in 0 cases, with total effectiveness rate of 100%. There is significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).â‘¡Compared to those before the treatment, both the measurement of symptoms/physical index and pneumonic function FEV1(%),PEF(%)show significant difference for both groups (P<0.01) with significant improvement after the treatment. By comparing the two groups, the clinic effect and improvement of pneumonic function show significant difference (P<0.01), with experiment group superior than comparison group. Conclusion: Shao's Method of Wu Zhen can relieve the symptoms and improve the physical index of those suffering acute exacerbation of Xiao Bing, and improve their pneumonic function FEV1(%),PEF(%). Therefore Shao's Method of Wu Zhen for treating acute exacerbation of Xiao Bing is superior to Theophylline Sustained Release Tablets plus treatment in clinical effect. |
