Objective: By the clinical treatment of Shuangwei Zeling Decoction on hepatitis B cirrhosis with ascites (the type of Qi stagnation and Dampness) , observed the effects of Shuangwei Zeling Decoction on the regression of ascites, the recovery of liver function, the improvement of clinical symptoms and signs in patients and the stability of disease so on, in order to objectively evaluate the clinical efficacy and strive to explore the mechanism of the action, thereby providing a theoretical basis for the clinical application and the development of new drugs. Methods: 68 patients who meet the inclusion criteria of the hepatitis B cirrhosis with ascites (the type of Qi stagnation and Dampness) were selected and divided into 2 groups at random: the treatment group and the control group. two groups were treated for 8 weeks.Control group received routine western medicine, the treatment group in the Western conventional therapy plus Shuangwei Zeling Decoction 2 times a day, each time 1 bag (200ml, decocted by the pharmacy of the Henan Hospital of TCM ), Am and Pm taken. 4 weeks as a course of treatment, two groups were treated for two courses and 12 weeks later a return visit on the two groups'patients. Indicators of ascites, liver function, clinical symptoms and signs were observed before and after treatment and combined with ascites recurrence to compare and evaluate the therapeutic effect of the two groups.Results:①Comparing the general effect of two groups : 33 cases in the treatment group, 23 cases markedly effective, 8 cases effective, 2 cases ineffective, the general effective rate was 93.94%, effective rate is 69.70%. 32 cases in the control group,14 cases markedly effective, 13 cases effective, 5 cases ineffective, the general effective rate was 84.38%. Statistically, the effect of the treatment group was better than the control group, there was significant difference (p<0.05);②After the treatment, the treatment group'clinical symptoms and signs, ascites, ALB, PTA, Child-pugh classification, etc. were significantly improved, two groups had significant differences, but in the portal vein diameter, thickness of spleen, ALT, AST, TBIL had no significant difference in improvement;③After the first course of treatment, compared between the two groups, the treatment group'clinical symptoms and signs, ascites, ALB, PTA improved significantly better than the control group', there were significant differences; compared within two groups, after treatment the treatment group'clinical symptoms and signs, ascites, ALT, AST, TBIL, ALB, PTA improved significantly, there were significant differences; but there were no significant differences in portal vein diameter and thickness of spleen; at the same time the control group'clinical symptoms and signs, ascites, ALT also improved significantly, there were significant differences; but there were no significant differences in portal vein diameter, thickness of spleen, AST, TBIL, ALB, TBIL;④After the second course of treatment, two groups'ascites, ALT, AST, TBIL, portal vein diameter, thickness of spleen had decreased, compared with the first course of the treatment, there were significant differences in ascites, ALT, AST, TBIL, there were no significant differences in portal vein diameter, thickness of spleen, but only test group'PTA had a significant increasing; compared before treatment test group'indicators all improved significantly besides portal vein diameter and the thickness of spleen, while the control group', only ALT, AST, TBIL, ascites had significant improvements;⑤The return visit which 12 weeks later after the treatment showed ascites-recurrence-rate of the treatment group was significantly lower than the control group, there were significant differences.Conclusion:①Shuangwei Zeling Decoction on hepatitis B cirrhosis with ascites (the type of Qi stagnation and Dampness) could reduce patients'Child-pugh classification, the effect was better than only western medicine group (P <0.05);②Shuangwei Zeling Decoction could improve clinical symptoms and signs, suggested that it can significantly improve the patients'life quality;③Shuangwei Zeling Decoction could faded ascites quickly and had a lasting effect;④Shuangwei Zeling Decoction could improve patients'liver function (ALT, AST, TBIL), albumin levels and the stability of coagulation significantly, implied that it could improve liver function significantly;⑤Shuangwei Zeling Decoction plus conventional western medicine treatment on hepatitis B cirrhosis with ascites (the type of Qi stagnation and Dampness) had a significant effect , was a safe, reliable and ideal treatment plan.
