Object:To observe the clinic effect of Tongluoyin(a prescription of traditional Chinese medicine) in the treatment of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy (DPN),and explore its functional mechanism.Methods:60 patients diagnosed DPN were randomly calssified into two groups with the normal drugs of lowing bloods sugar. The 31 patients in treated groups were treated with Tongluoyin, the others in control groups were treated with Mecobalamin Tablets. the course of treatment are all 8 weeks. After two months of treatment, the changes of clinic symptom and laboratory index were examined.Result:1.The total effect of Tongluoyin treatment group is 83.9%,the effect of the contrast group is 68.9%,there is a difference(P<0.05)2. The effect of the treated groups was obviously better than the control groups in improving clinical symptoms (P<0.01), the sciatic nerve conduction relocity (P<0.05)and the blood circulation in limbs(P<0.01). The difference was significant comparing with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Tongluoyin has sure curative effect than Methycobal tables in treating DPN, and this research testifies the promoting blood circulation and dredging meridians.
