Objective:To investigate the pathological characteristics and the clinical features of lymphoma in our hospital.Materials and methods:The medical records of 1371 lymphoma patients in The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from January 1, 2003 to December 31,2010 were enrolled and analyzed. All the diagnoses were confirmed by pathology and histochemistry based on the 2008 World Health Organization (WHO) classification. The stage and group were classified according to the 1989 Ann/Arbor-Cotswolds revision staging classification. The age and stage were defined at time of first diagnosis. After removal of repeat hospitalization, a total of 1371 cases (the pathological subtypes of 929 cases were diagnosed by histochemistry) were included in order to investigate the distribution of gender and age, pathological type, onset position, the distribution of various regions and Ki-67. All the statistical analysis were performed by Excel and SPSS 17.0.Result:The Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL):Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) ratio was13.28:1,male:female ratio was 1.87:1.96 cases were HL in which male to female ratio was 2.20:1, median age:26 (3-75 years).55.21%of patients age was less than 30 years.55 cases (63.95%) were Mixed cellularity classical Hodgkin lymphoma (MCCHL),18 cases (20.93%) were Nodular sclerosis classical Hodgkin lymphoma (NSCHL),18 cases were belong to stage III and B group.85 cases (98.84%) were classified as nodal lymphoma and the common nodal sites of which were in the Cervical lymph nodes, axillary lymph nodes and abdominal lymph nodes.17 cases (19.77%) were classified as extranodal lymphoma. The geographical distribution of the top three were Nanning (30%), Guigang (14%), Hechi (10%).there was no significant difference between two periods in the characteristics(p>0.05).while 1275 cases were NHL in which male to female ratio was 1.85:1,median age:47 (1-94 yesrs),66.90%of theirs age was between 30-69 years. Overall,5 subtypes including Diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL):415 cases (49.23%), Extranodal NK/T cell lymphoma(ENKTCL):93 cases (11.03%), Peripheral T-cell lymphoma,NOS (PTCLN):75 cases (8.90%), Anaplastic large cell lymphoma(ALCL):65 cases (7.71%), Chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL):46 cases (5.46%).610 cases were classified as nodal lymphoma and the common nodal sites of which were Cervical lymph nodes, abdominal lymph nodes and inguinal lymph nodes.562 cases (19.77%) were classified as extranodal lymphoma,157 cases were belong to stage III and B group. The geographical distribution of the top three were Nanning (26%), Guigang (13%), Yulin (11%).there was statistically significant difference between two groups in the stage II,stage IV and in the incidence of Bone marrow involvement. The Ki-67 showed the positive correlation with tumor invasiveness. Conclusion:The incidence of lymphoma in male is higher than that in female, the incidence of HL is more common for the young people than the old, while the incidence of NHL is common in the elderly, the rate of HL in nodal lymphoma is higher than that in extranodal lymphoma, while the incidence of NHL between nodal lymphoma and extranodal lymphoma is comprable. The stage of lymphoma are trending upwards. Ki-67...
