The Survey On The Relation Between The Characteristics And The TCM Syndrome Type Of The Rotavirus Disease In Children

Objects:Describe the clinical epidemiological characters of rotavirus diarrhea among children under 4 years old in the affiliated hospital of the Shandong university of Chinese traditional medicine to provide basic information for actualizing the vaccine of rotarirus and effectively controlling the incidence of rotavirus diarrhea in the future.Methods:We investigated the diarrhea infants under 4 years old in the affiliated hospital of the Shandong university of Chinese tradional medicine between Sep 2004 to Aug 2009,and tested the stool specimens collected from infants with diarrhea for rotarirus.All children under 4 years old with diarrhea admitted to the affiliated hospital were enrolled in the study.For each patient,demographic data and information of clinical presentation was recorded on a standardized questionnaire completed by a trained health worker specifically assigned to the projected. The data were analyzed by SPSS 16.0.Results:1.Patterns of onset:Most of children with rotavirus diarrhea aged between 8 to 24 months old,the ratio of boys and girls was 1.705.1.Morbidity of rotavirus diarrhea was high in the autumn and winter;most of the course was between 6 to 9 days;the initiatory syndrome mainly was favor.The basic active syndrome mainly was the wet heat diarrhea,and it was the main type in ages between 8 to 24 months old.lt was also the main type in boys.2.The major element:The results implied that the major elements to different syndrome were egg soup sample shit,yellow red piss, red tongue,yellow and thick fur,rapid pulse.Conclusion:sex,season,course,and the initiatory syndrome had a close relationship with the manifestation of rotavirus diarrhea.The basic syndrome mainly was the wet heat rotavirus diarrhea. Egg soup sample shit,yellow red piss, red tongue,yellow and thick fur.rapid pulse were the major elements to the wet heat rotavirus diarrhea.
