Objective To ascertain the risk factors causing MACE in patients having undergone percutaneous coronary intervention. To found the relationship between syndromic elements of TCM and SYNTAX score thereby investigating distribution and evolution of syndromic elements along with the change of SYNTAX score. Methods We followed up the patients having undergone PCI in Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2008 to April 2010, and then ascertain MACE and pharmacotherapy during follow-up, and grasped the basic clinical data of those before receiving PCI treatment, and analyzed the corresponding factors that influence the MACE ratio through univariate and multivariate analysis, and descriptively analysised the relationship between syndromic elements and SYNTAX score.Resultsâ‘ univariate ayalysis shows that the four following factors correlated to major adverse cardiovascular events ratio:SYNTAX score, number of lesions, bifurcation and uncompleted revascularization. Multivariate analysis finds that SYNTAX score is the independent predictive factor of MACE (P<0.001).â‘¡Syndromic elements in CHD has some to do with SYNTAX score. Xueyu-syndrome still runs throuth the whole period of CHD. Qixu-syndrome also exists from beginning to end of CHD with narrower spectrum of distribution. The time of increase gradually of Tanzu- syndrome occurrs in high SYNTAX socre zone. The appearance of Tanzu- syndrome means to the heavier extent of coronary disease and the higher risk of MACE because SYNTAX score could predict the risk of MACE. Yinxu-syndrome focuses on the higher parts of low SYNTAX score zone and the lower parts of mediate SYNTAX socre zone with relatively narrow spectrum. Hanning-syndrome and Yangxu-syndrome were mainly distributed into low SYNTAX score zone.â‘¢The evolution of syndromic elements in CHD from pre-PCI to post-PCI shows that among the redundant syndromic elements Xueyu-syndrome has decrease significantly and Tanzu-syndrome cannot reduce unless apply Chinese medicinal herb treatment. Qizhi-syndrome, Hanning-syndrome and Reyun-syndrome embody non-significant difference. Among the dificient syndromic elements, Qixu-syndrome and Yinxu-syndrome increase significantly after PCI while Yangxu-syndrome has no signigicant changes. Conclusion SYNTAX score has significant relationship with MACE ratio. Along with the changes of SYNTAX score, the syndromic elements of TCM have the embodyment of its own particular distribution and evolution and significant difference from pre-PCI to post-PCI.
