ObjectivesTo investigate a clinical pathway on vertigo of Cervical Vertigo, Vertebro-basilar artery insufficiency and Benign Positional Paroxysmal Vertigo which have a huge percentage occurred in vertigo patients, it should be a dependable treatment reducing the vertigo recurernce rate, improving the life quality.Evaluation of Cervical Vertigo, Vertebro-basilar artery insufficiency and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo patients treated by TCM treatment and western medicine, after 3 days of treatment efficacy and two weeks of follow-up visit, compared to patients with only western medicine, to provide clinical evidence for this therapy.MethodsFrom March 2010 to February 2011 in the Guangdong Provincial Hospital emergency rooms or outpatient neurology vertigo included 70 patients randomized single blind method consists of treatment group and the control group, patients were observed before treatment, after 3-days treatment and finished the treatment for two weeks, with vestibular symptom index and Dizziness Handicap Inventory. Establishing a Statistic database with x 2 test and t-test, analyse statistical data finally.ResultExperimental group and control group before the treatment and on 3-days treatment with vestibular symptom index and Dizziness Handicap Inventory, there were no difference on statistical significance (P> 0.05). Two weeks after treatment, vestibular symptom index and Dizziness Handicap Inventory, the difference was significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine treatment group better than the control group only treated by western medicine.
