BackgroundIn recent years, inflammation theory is considered the significant progress of the diabetes mellitus (DM)'s etiology and pathogenesis. Recent studies show that low-grade inflammation is not only the Onset foundation of DM's macrovascular, in the occurrence and development of microvascular disease also played an important role. Therefore, control of chronic, subclinical inflammation may be the treatment of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) which will be a new target and a new way. Due to inflammation involving multi-system organ damage, it is need to intervene in the early stages of the disease. The anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin or sodium salicylate may have effects for prevention and treatment of IR, but such drugs have significant gastrointestinal and ear toxicity et side effects, limiting its clinical applications, and traditional chinese medicine has multi-target, low toxicity characteristics, so it is especially suitable for the long-term treatment of multi-system damage disease, which has certain advantages in the fight against of diabetes and its complications.ObjectivesThis topic through studying the Effects of Gu ben Chang Shu method on Inflammatory markers in obesity type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, to explain its therapeutic mechanism of TCM in a new angle with Inflammation theory, so as to providing new ideas and methods for the prevention and treatment of T2DM and its complications.MethodsUses the foresightedness stochastic comparison method, will Conform to the diagnosis standard and brings into line with the standard obesity type 2 diabetes mellitus patients 60cases, randomly divided into e treated group and the control group, each group has 30 cases. Education course, dietary treatment and conventional hypoglycemic agent were given to both groups, and the Chinese compound medicine of Guben Changshu was given additionally to patients in the treated group, one dose a day for 4 weeks by boiled water and taking in two times. Then, To observe the changes before and after treatment of symptom, inflammatory markers CRP,TNF-a,IL-6, blood glucose, blood lipid, fasting insulin, c-peptide, Body-mass index and so on. In addition to assess compare the clinical effect.Results1. The Comparison of overall efficacy:the total efficacy of treated group was 93.3%, the,10 cases were significantly effective,23 cases were effective, 2 cases were ineffective, It was 60.0% of control,1 case were significantly effective,17 cases were effective,12 cases were ineffective, it is significantly different(P<0.05).2. After the treatment, the clinical symptom score dropped in both group (treated group P<0.01, control group P<0.05), and it was lower in the treated group than that in the control group(P<0.01).3.After 4 weeks of treatment,, the inflammatory marks:CRP, TNF-a,IL-6 were significantly decreased(P<0.01), compared with the control group decreased significantly (P<0.01).The control group, these indicators had no significant difference (P>0.05) before and after treatment.4. Then, in both 2 group, BMI, FBG, PBG, HbAIc were significantly decreased (P<0.01), FINS slight decreased (P<0.05), TC,TG, HDL-C, LDL-C level decreased (P<0.05), but there was no statistically significant (P>0.05) on the above index between 2 groups. ConclusionThe effect showed in the treated group was superior than in the control. Guben Changshu Method can obviously reduce the inflammatory factor CRP, TNF-a, IL-6 of obesity and has some anti-inflammatory effect to type 2 diabetes mellitus patients.
