ObjectiveComparative analysis with the contact area, occlusal force and Asymmetry index of occlusal force, this paper will discusses the changes, preoperative or postoperation of mandibular"Z" osteotomy through titanium plate one side bone cortex fixationMethodsWe collected 16 patients with tongue cancer treated by combined radical operation of jaw and neck, but remaining integrality of mandible in the Department of Stomatology, the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University from sept 2010 to Apr 2011,then reconstruction mandible through rigid internal fixation1.Preoperation measurement in patients with one maxillarycentral incisor width, fill in T-Scan material2.T-Scanâ…¢system was used to record and analyze the patients' Occlusion in three periods, before operation, one month after operation and three months after operation3.Contact area, occlusal force and Asymmetry index of occlusal force were compared in statistic wayResults1. Contact area mean, preoperation>1 month after operation>3 month after operation, measured by one-wayANOVA, it was no statistically significant (p=0.460287>0.05); by matched t-test preoperation and 1 month after operation, it was no statistically significant(p>0.05); preoperation and 3 month after operation, it was statistically significant(p<0.05); 1 month after operation and 3 month after operation, it was no statistically significant(p>0.05)2. Bite force mean, preoperation>3 month after operation>1 month after operation, measured by one-wayANOVA, it was no statistically significant (p=0.163131>0.05); by matched t-test preoperation and 1 month after operation, it was statistically significant(p <0.05); preoperation and 3 month after operation, it was no statistically significant(p>0.05); 1 month after operation and 3 month after operation, it was no statistically significant(p>0.05)3. Asymmetry index of occlusal force mean,1 month after operation>preoperation>3 month after operation, measured by one-wayANOVA, it was statistically significant (p=0.018679<0.05); by matched t-test, preoperation and 1 month after operation, it was statistically significant(p<0.05); preoperation and 3 month after operation, it was no statistically significant(p>0.05); 1 month after operation and 3 month after operation, it was statistically significant(p< 0.05)4. There is linear correlation between bite force and contact area, r=0.710883, it is positive correlation Conclusion1. Bite force and contact area can be regarded as an important index to evaluate the occlusal through rigid internal fixation after mandibular osteotomy2. Bite force and Asymmetry index of occlusal force recover gradually after mandibular"Z" osteotomy through titanium plate one side bone cortex fixation, but we cannot see the positive correlation between contact area and time3. There is a positive correlation between the bite force and the contact area...
