Li Shizhen's Medical Philosophies Research

The Ethic or moral philospphy is the reseach about mrality from the philosophy perspective. Morality is a kind of social ideology which regulates people's commom life and behavior.It has the following functions,such as cognition, adjusement, education,assessment and balance. It is the belief and value of what is right and what is wrong about people's behavior, which presents on the regulation or standard of people's behavior. The Ethic is introspection about morality from the perspective of philosophy, which analyses the regulation or standard of people's behavior and provides argument to solve the moral problems caused by different value conflict in the new situation.The medical Philisophy is a subject which applies the commom ethic regulation to solve the medical moral problem and medical moral phenomena during the process of medical practice and medical development. It is not only one of the important parts in medicine but also one branch of the ethic. The medical ethic applies the ethic theories and methods to research the ethic problems about the relationship of people and people,people and society, people and nature.In Ming Dynasty, there are no such systematic theory research and essential definition as now. The doctors'medical ethic thought at that time just presented from their own culture knowledge, their enthusiasm about medicine and the achievement they had made. As the famous medical scientist and pharmacologist in Ming Dynasty, Lishizhen has made great achievement and gotten a very high historic role in medical histroy,culture history and intellectual history. He has gone through great psychological changes during the period of both taking imperial examination and painstaking research on medicine. His philosophical rthic thought has played an important role in his own self-cultivation and progress in medical achievement. Moreover, his famous book-Compendium of Materia Medica is called as Chinese Encyclopedia for the 16th century. So far it is still the enormous impetus towards the medical development and scientific research.
