Objective:To observe the clinical effect and the toxic or side effect of Yanghe Decoction combined with Zoledronic Acid for Injection on bone metastases with the pattern of Yang deficiency and cold stagnation and to provide an objective basis for Integrated treatment(both traditional Chinese and west medicine) of bone metastasis, as well as to provide accumulated experience for further systemic research.Methods:60 cases with bone metastases of Yang Deficiency and Cold Stagnation pattern were randomly divided into two groups, treatment group (Yanghe Decoction combined with Zoledronic Acid for Injection) and control group (Zoledronic Acid for Injection). The integrated clinical effect of the two groups was observed, including bone metastases focus, mobility, hypercalcemia, and improvement in quality of life. SPSS 16.0 statistical software was uesd for statistical analysis. Results:(1) treatment group had higher efficiency than control group in reducing the recurrence and metastasis, but there was no significant difference(P>0.05);(2)in improvement of activity aspect, treatment group was better than the control group (P<0.05);(3) treatment group was better than control group in Karnofsky score improving (P<0.05);(4) treatment group was better than control group in improvement of hypercalcemia, and had lower toxicity than the control group, with no statistical significance (P>0.05).Conclusions:the treatment of added Yanghe Decotion combined with Zoledronic Acid for Injection on bone metastases is able to improve clinical symptoms and quality of life and reduce side effects and adverse reaction. It is worthy of clinical application and popularization.
