Two children diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactive disorder have been administered the cognitive enhancement program (COGENT) intervention which is developed from the PASS theory, and the effects of the intervention were assessed by means of DSM-IV indices, Vanderbilt ADHD Diagnostic Parent Rating Scale, Test of Everyday Attention for Children (TEA-Ch) and Das-Naglieri Cognitive Assessment System. The results showed that:(1) the intervention resulted in improvement in some cognitive functions of the two children with ADHD; (2) to maximize the effects of the COGENT, an extended training may be necessary so as to make children transfer the enhanced cognitive skills into the real life situations; (3) in the practice of the COGENT intervention, flexible management of training tasks and keeping participants highly involved in the training played the key roles in children's benefit from the training.
