The thesis deals with the investigation on the chemical constituents and biological activity of Carpesium lipskyi and Solms-Laubachia lanata Botsch,which was used as Tibetan medicines in China. 20 compounds were isolated by silica gel column chromatography,macroporous resin column chromatography and polyamide column chromatography to obtain the valid target chemical composition.The structures of 18 compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectral evidence,E1-MS,HR-ESI-MS,IR and chemical Methods.From Carpesium lipskyi, 14 compounds were isolated asβ-sitosterol(1), Hexade- contanoic acid(2), linoleieacid(3), stigmasterol(4), 1-docosanol(5),daucosteol(6), 5-hydroxy-3,6,7,4'-tetramethoxyhavone(7), 5,7,4'-trimethoxy -3'-methoxyhavone-3-O-β-D-glc(8),9β-angeloyl-3-oxo-10αH,4βH-germacran-11(13)ene-12,6α-olide(9), 4β,8α- dihydroxy-5β-isobutyryloxy-9β-3-methylbutyryloxy-3-oxo-germacran-7β,12α-olide(10),4β,8α-dihydroxy-5β-2-methylbutyryloxy-9β-3-methylbutyryloxy-3-oxo-germacran-7β,12α-olide(11),2α,5-Epoxy-5,10-dihydroxyα-angeloyloxy-9β-(3-methylbutyloxy) -germacran-8α,12-olide(12), carabrolactone B(13),7-hydroxy-6-methoxycoumarin(14 ).All these compounds were isolated from Carpesium lipskyi for the first time.We have investigated the cytotoxic activity of some compounds,which indicated that compound 9,12 and 13 have high cytotoxic activity. IC50:0.547,0.551,0.502mg/ml.From Solms-Laubachialanata Botsch, four compounds were isolated asβ-sitosterol(15), Hexadecontanoic acid(16), daucosteol(17), 3α,24-dihydroxyl–oleanane -12-ene-28-methyl ester(18).Hexadecontanoic acid,daucosteol, 3α,24-dihydroxyl–oleanane-12-ene-28-methyl ester were isolated from Solms-Laubachia for the first time.The extract have been investigated the antibacterial activity for Staphylococcus aureus,Eshericia coli,Streptococcus pneumoniae, p.aeruginosa, Bacillaceae.
