| Background:Primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC) was a common malignant tumor of liver cell or bile duct cell. Because of rapidly-progressed ailment of cancer and hepatocirrhosis, most liver cancer patients lost the opportunities for clinical cure. So transcatheter hepatic arterial chemoembolization(TACE) was one of the most effective treatments for PHC. But Hepatocellular Careinoma post-chemoembolization Syndrome affected effect of TACE. This research aimed at observeing the effect of HeFa On Hepatocellular Careinoma Post-chemoembolization Syndrome and discussed about the treatment of liver cancer.Objective:To investigate and compare the clinical effect on Primary Liver Cancer (PLC) after transcatheter hepatic arterial chemoembolization(TACE) treated by Modified HeFa of TCM with western medicine, in order to provide a new way for further diagnosis and improvement of TCM treatment.Method:40 cases of PLC who accepted TACE, were divided into two groups, 16 cases in control group, using western medicine(basic therapy); 24 cases in treatment group by treatment with Modified HeFa of TCM and western medicine. Comparisons of are carried out after 14 days Off effectiveness in relevant clinical parameters of TCM, Karnofsky functional status, side effects of TACE and hepatic functions before and after treatment.Results:There are no statistically differences in age, sex, stage of diseases, course of the treatment, Child-Pugh Score, and relevant clinical parameters of TCM between two groups (P>0.05). The treatment group is superior to control group in Kamofsky functional status, clinical parameters of TCM and liver function (P<0.05). There are no differences in AFP between two groups (P>0.05). There are no serious side reactions in liver function, kidney function and blood in two groups.Conclusions:Taking modified HeFa of TCM on PLC following TACE can significantly improve the quality of life, and alleviate the clinical symptoms of the patients. It is recommended to be implemented.
