Objective:This paper probes into the effect of protection from pituitrin causing acute myocardial ischemia injury of rabbits of medicine magnetism plaster (mainly of myrrh) application on Neiguan acupoint through animal experiment. It provides more abundant experimental support for prevention of myocardial ischemia of Chinese medicine external treatment and offers inspiration and new solutions to prevention of clinical myocardial ischemia.Methods:Thirty healthy New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into six groups of electro-acupuncture group, medicine magnetism group, magnetism group, medicine group, model group and blank control group. There were 5 rabbits in each group. And each group was subject to electro-acupuncture on Neiguan acupoint of both sides, medicine magnetism (mainly of myrrh), magnetism and application of therapy plasters (mainly of myrrh) on Neiguan acupoint of both sides for 14 days separately. Rabbits were subject to the last treatment of 2 hours 14 days after the experiment. Myocardial ischemia model of rabbits was made by means of injecting pituitrin through the ear-border vein. Effect of prevention from rabbit myocardial ischemia of application of therapy magnet plaster on Neiguan acupoint was observed from perspectives of Physiology, Histomorphology and Biochemistry through measurements of polygraph, light microscope, electron microscope, biochemical indexes and so on..Result:1.Electrocardiogram T-wave and ST section in medicine magnetism group were of significant difference from model group (P<0.01)2.Content of serum SOD of medicine magnetism group was obviously higher than that of model group (P<0.01) while content of MDA was obviously lower than that of model group (P<0.01). Content of CK-MB and LDH of medicine magnetism group was obviously lower than that of model group (P<0.01)3.It was observed by light microscope and electron microscope that damage of ischemic myocardial tissues and structure was slight.4.Indexes of the other groups were of significant difference from those of model group (P<0.01). All indexes of medicine magnetism group were of no significant difference from those of electro-acupuncture group, medicine group and magnetism group (P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Application of medicine magnetism plasters on Neiguan acupoint led to reduction of fluctuation of electrocardiogram ST section and T-wave when rabbits were in acute myocardial ischemia and of time required for recovering.2.Application of medicine magnetism plasters on Neiguan acupoint led to increase of SOD content of ischemic myocardium and decrease of content of MDA, CK-MB and LDH. It also reduced damage of oxygen free radicals ischemic myocardium of rabbits and strengthened its anti-oxidant ability.3.Application of medicine magnetism plasters on Neiguan acupoint could reduce damage of cardiac muscle cells when rabbits were in acute myocardial ischemia.4.Application of medicine magnetism plasters and electro-acupunctures on Neiguan acupoint all served to protect ischemic myocardium of rabbits. And the treatment effects were of no significant difference.
