Stellera chamaejasme L., a member of the Stellera in the Thymelaeaceae family, is a toxic grass urgent need to be weeded. Recent studies have found, the decoction and rubbed agent of Stellera chamejasme L. has significant therapeutic efficacy of sheep scabies. It is the advantages of toxic side effects compared to organophosphorus and pyrethrum type pesticides. Therefore it can be used as pesticide to replace organophosphorus and pyrethrum type pesticides. We can effectively use this resource at the same time to restore grassland, and to change waste into treasure. In present study, the root of stellera chamaejasne L. was extracted by 95% ethanol. Five compounds have been isolated and purified by utilizing column chromatography, preparative TLC and recrystallization techniques. The structures of five compounds have been identified by IR, 1D NMR (1HNMR,13CNMR),2D NMR (HSQC, HMBC) and reference literatures. They areβ-sitosterol(1), Umbelliferone(2), methylp-hydroxybenzoat(3), and two chromone. Longipinane,(E)-1-Octadecanesulphonylchloride, trans-1,2-Dibenzoylethylene,1,4-Butanediamine, Tetrapentacontane,1,54-dibromo- were identified from the genus of the root of stellera chamaejasne L. for the first time by GC-MS.
