Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Compound Danshen Dripping Pills For Non-proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy (Syndrome Of Qi Stagnation And Blood Stasis)

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Compound Danshen Dripping Pills for treatment of no-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR) (Syndrome Of Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis).Method:62 DM paients with NPDR were randomly assigned (32:30) to the test group (Compound Danshen Dripping Pills) and the controlled group (Placebos).16 cases (32 eyes) received Compound Danshen Dripping Pills,15 cases(30 eyes) received placebos.The whole observation lasted 6 months. Patients received periodic detailed ophthalmic examinations, visual acuity testing,FFA, blood routine, urine routine, hepatorenal function, general physical examinations with electrocardiograms,and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome inquiry and inspection.Results:(1) Compound Danshen Dripping Pills can inhibiti the DR lesion growth and promote absorption of macular edema. The total therapeutic effective rate was 81.3% and 45.45% in the CDDP group, and the changes were significant with the controlled groups(p<0.05). (2) The vision of the patients in CDDP group was greatly improved, the total therapeutic effective rate was 37.5%, and the change has statistically significant differences compared with the other group(p<0.01).(3)The percent of cases of improving syndrome in TCM was 81.3% in CDDP group,6.67%in the other group, statistically superior for clinical efficacy(p<0.01)。(4) There were no clinical relevant treatment-related safety issues。Conclusion:(1) Compound Danshen Dripping Pills can improve the vision,inhibiti the NPDR lesion growth and promote absorption of macular edema of patients with NPDR(Syndrome Of Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis) and is effective for the treatment of them。(2) Compound Danshen Dripping Pills can improve Chinese medicine syndrome. (3) Compound Danshen Dripping Pills is effective and safe in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy.
