Objective:To explore if osteoporosis effect on bone marrow hematopoiesis function in patients with osteoporosisMethod:Use the retrospective case control study method, the osteoporosis patients are mainly from department of rheumatism and endocrinology in the 2nd affiliated hospital of zhejiang university from April 2009 to May 2010, totally 107 cases, the control group are patients with the same concomitant illnesses and comparable age and sex,but not with osteoporosis. All patients were measured bone mineral density and detected peripheral blood counts and hemoglobin. Results:In the case group and control group the mean value of WBC was 5,870±,920×109/L and 6,670±,730×109/L, the mean value of RBC was 3,85±0.57×1012/Land 4,05±0.45×1012/L, the mean value of PL was 209±154.6×109/L and 223±88.6×109/L, respectively, the mean value of hemoglobin was 125±80.4g/L and 122.8±14.1g/L.The mean value of WBC,RBC,HB,PL were in the normal range in both of group and the WBC,RBC counts in case group was lower than that in control group (P< 0.05),especially in neutrophil counts. There is no difference in WBC,RBC counts in patients with different degree of osteoporosisConclutions:In osteoporosis patients, WBC,RBC,HB,PL were in normal range, but the WBC,RBC counts was lower than that in patients without osteoporosis and it worth to further research if osteoporosis influence the bone marrow hematopoiesis.
