Objective: To study the orderliness of Bone Mineral Density(BMD), whichchanging along with the age, in normal Male people Qingdao City by the way of BMDmeasurement to part people in Qingdao,Try to fing a way on establishing the bonemineral density (BMD) reference databases of multiple skeletal regions for diagnosis ofosteoporosis(OP) in men.To calculate the peak bone mineral density (PBMD) of eachparts and its age.Method: BMD was measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXAChallenge, DHS Co. France) at skeletal regions of supine lateral spine, left femur Neckand left hip in 692 healthy men .BMD of skeletal regions with age-related changes wasfound to fit in whole of eight kinds of regression models. Best model equations of fittingwas found and the reference database were established. Results: 1, The peak BMD of lateral spine and hip appeared at 30.2, While BMDin skeletal regions achieved PBMD it will gradually depress along with the age increasingin healthy men of QingDao. 3, A cubic regression model was better fitted withaged-related changes as compared with other regression models. The coefficients ofdetermination (R~2) of fitting curve was biggest. Conclusion: The orderliness of BMD changing in the normal people of Qingdaobasically accorded with the other research results whatever in domestic or oversea. Acubic regression model was the better model to establish a normal BMD reference curve. The PBMD level in men were lower than the other related research results in domestic.
