| Objective:Trigeminal neuralgia is a common clinical disease, partial closure of streptomycin therapy is a simple and effective treatment, streptomycin local injection therapy is a simple and effective treatment. However, the details of clinical operation instructions were varied, caused instability effects.This research based on the improvement of the operating methods of local injection streptomycin, observed the clinical efficacy.Methods:Application of improved methods for treatment of 21 patients during august 2009 to march 2011 in the oral surgery department of the Second Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University Of Medicine.Results:19 Patients' pain were completely disappeared,2 Patients' pain were relief. The total effective rate was 90.5%, and no significant side effects Were found.Conclusions:Compared with the other treatments, the advantages of streptomycin local injection therapy are more simple and secure, the duration of treatment were longer, and can be repeated injection, especially no significant side effects were found in systemic and local.
