Objective:The common pathological embodiment and rules of mucosal immunity changes in the disease process of bronchial asthma and chronic urticaria were sought, and the relevancy between pulmonary diseases and dermatosis was discussed through determination of secretory immunoglobulin-A (SIgA) in saliva, sputum and nasal secretions and CD4+,CD8+T lymphocyte, eosinophil cationic protein (ECP) and immunoglobulin E (T-IgE) in blood of patients with bronchial asthma and chronic urticaria, thereby further providing reference for'Lung Governing Skin and Hair'Theory.Methods:32 patients with pure bronchial asthma (asthma group),33 patients with bronchial asthma combined with chronic urticaria (combined group),31 patients with chronic urticaria (urticaria group) and 30 normal people (normal group) were collected, ELISA method was adopted to test SIgA in their sputum, saliva and nasal secretions, flow cytometry was adopted to test CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes in their blood, and fluorescence enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was adopted to test T-IgE and ECP in their blood. Results:1) The SIgA contents in saliva of the three groups of patients were significantly higher than the normal group(P<0.05);comparison among the asthma group, and the combined group and the urticaria group had no difference(P>0.05). The urticaria group was increased compared with the combined group(P<0.05). The SIgA contents in nasal secretions of three groups of patients were significantly higher than the normal group(P<0.05); and the comparison among the three groups of patients was not statistically significant.(P>0.05).The SIgA contents in sputum of the asthma group and the combined group were lower than the normal group(P<0.05); comparison between the urticaria group and the normal group had no difference(P>0.05); the comparison between the asthma group and the combined group had no difference(P>0.05); but the asthma group and the combined group were lowered compared with the urticaria group(P<0.05). 2) The expression of CD+4,CD4+/CD8+ in blood of the asthma group, the combined group and the urticaria group was increased compared with the normal group(P<0.05), the comparison among patients of the three groups showed no differences; the expression of CD8+ in blood of the asthma group, the combined group and the urticaria group had lowering trend compared with the normal group, but without statistical significance(P >0.05).3) The T-IgE and ECP levels in blood of the asthma group, the combined group and the urticaria group were prominently increased compared with the normal group(P <0.05), but the comparison among patients of the three groups had no difference(P>0.05). 4) Except the SIgA content in saliva and sputum of the normal group, which showed negative correlation(r=-0.369, P=0.045), the SIgA distribution in secretion of samples of the other three groups had no correlation.5) The T-IgE and ECP levels in blood of the asthma group were positively correlated(r=0.4, P=0.02), the T-IgE and ECP levels in blood of the combined group and the urticaria group showed slightly positive correlation, but were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:SIgA, CD4+, CD8+, T-IgE and ECP have common embodiment in patients with bronchial asthma and chronic urticaria, namely common expression in pulmonary diseases and dermatosis, which further embodies the'lung governing skin and hair'theory, and mainly reflects in pathology, and the mucosa immune-related media may be the material basis of contact between the two.
