| Objective: In this study, the effect of chronic cholecystitis patient's gallbladder movement on acupuncture Yanglingquan (GB34), Dannang (EX-LE6) and Yanglingquan (GB34) with Dannang (EX-LE6) was observed. And the different influences of gallbladder movement, under acupuncturing different acu-point and different time point within the needle retaining time were compared with. The study can be laid as the foundation for perfecting the acupuncture therapy of chronic cholecystitis. Methods: 45 chronic cholecystitis patients met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into three groups, which were Yanglingquan (GB34) group, Dannang (EX-LE6) group and Yanglingquan (GB34) with Dannang (EX-LE6) group. The gallbladder volume at different time points in three groups with ultrasonic scanning was recorded and carried on the statistical analysis. Results: 1.There were differences on the impact of the gallbladder volume during different time points of before and after acupuncture in all of the three groups (P<0.05), and there were significant differences between after acupuncture 10′, 20′to before acupuncture (P<0.05). 2. There were no remarkable differences on the impact of the gallbladder volume at the same time point during three groups (P﹥0.05), and there were no differences of the interaction between the different time point and different groups (P﹥0.05). 3. Comparison of the gallbladder shrinkage rate: there were twice obvious tension movements between systolic and diastolic motion after acupuncturing immediately, different degrees diastole after acupuncturing 5′during three groups, diastole to the maximum after acupuncturing 20′, and then only minor motion of systolic and diastolic. 4. There were no remarkable differences on the impact of the gallbladder maximum volume change and maximum volume change rate after acupuncturing 10′, 20′during three groups (P﹥0.05). Conclusions: 1. there were bidirectional positive regulation effects of acupuncture on chronic cholecystitis patients, and it depends on the gallbladder's tension condition whether acupuncture can diastolic or systolic gallbladder. 2. Acupuncture could promote chronic cholecystitis patient's gallbladder's diastolic and systolic tension movement. 3. The study proved that the relationship between Yanglingquan (GB34) and Dannang (EX-LE6) was not synergy, and the effect of compatibility of the two points was not superior to using only one. |
