Objective:To investigate the individual and combinative therapic strategies for invasive pituitary adenomas by the treatment and follow-up of clinical cases.Method:46 cases diagnosed as invasive pituitary adenomas with full data were analyzed retrospectively, which were given individual and combinative therapy based on the clinical symptoms, imaging data and hormone determination, summarized the post-treatment data by follow-up.Results:There were 14 cases of invasive PRL-PA,8 cases of invasive GH-PA,6 cases of invasive ACTH-PA,2 cases of invasive TSH-PA,16 cases of invasive NF-PA in the group respectively.43 cases were given surgical treatment, among them,11 cases were total removed,27 cases were sub-total removed, and 5 cases were partial removed; 15 postoperative cases were combinated with radiotherapy,6 cases were combinated with medical therapy;3 cases were given medical therapy only. The follow-up period was between 11 to 27 months.MRI showed no sign of recurrence in 21 cases combinated with radiotherapy or medical therapy,2 cases were comfirmed as recurrence,3 cases with medication were observed on tumor minification. There were no complications of severe hypopituitarism and death. Conclusion:The therapic strategies for invasive pituitary adenomas should be based on the symptoms,MRI manifestation, different hormone types and secreting level, given exact individual and combinaive project to gain long-term symptomatic relief and postpone recurrence.
