Clinic Research On Treatment Of The Electroacupuncture On The Level Of IL-1,IL-10 And VEGF In Peripheral Blood For Rheumatoid Arthritis

Basic theories of TCM,the theory of Tream with syndrome differentiation and the theory of Meridia and moxibustion were used in this research to observe the clinical effects of electroacupuncture in treating Rheumatoid Arthritis(RA).In this research,we discussed the mechanism of electroacupuncture in anti-inflammatory and provided new ideas and new treatment methods for clinical dieases. There are 60 cases of patients in this research who were divided into two groups with stochastic method.29 cases accepted the electroacupuncture treatment and 28 cases of RA patients were treated by regular needle acupuncture.All the patients in the two groups were observed before and after treatment with the number of pain assessment of patient(VAS),paintful joints,paintful index,swonen joints,the swelling index,and also with morning siffness time,the patients'assessment of physical function(AIMs2-SF grade),CRP,ESR and the level of cytokine including IL-1,IL-10 and VEGF in peripheral blood.The following results were achieved by the end of the study.The electroacupuncture was more effective on RA patients although both of electroacupuncture and regular needle acupuncture worked. The effective rate of electroacupuncture team was 89.7%,which had no significantly difference from the regular needle acupuncture team with the rate of 85.7% (P>0.05).However the clinical cure rate is respectively 44.8% and 17.9% which had no significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).In the reseach,we also found that the levels of proinflammtory in peripheral blood such as IL-1 and VEGF had reduced after the elecroacupuncture.At the same time the level of anti-inflammatory cytokines in peripheral blood such as IL-10 had rosen.This may be one of the mechanisms of the anti-flammatory and analgesia in the treatment of electroacupuncture.Conclusions:Those results indicated that electroacupuncture treatment and regular needle acupuncture treatment both had exact effects on RA patients,and electroacupuncture treatment was more effective on RA.It could also adjust the levels of cytokines in peripheral blood.Electroaccupuncture treatment produced better effects in the anti-inflammtory-analgesia and the function of adjusting immunology.
