| [Objective]To investigate the clinical effect and mechanism of modified chaihu shugan decoction on patients diagnosed as disharmony between liver-stomach of chronic atrophic gastritis.[Methods]In this study,51 patients with diagnosed as disharmony between liver-stomach of chronic atrophic gastritis were divided into cure group and contrast group randomly for systematic observation.25 patients were in cure group who took chaihu shugan decoction,26 patients were in contrast group who took Vitacoenzyme Tablets.Three months were as period of treatment.the observation continued 1 course.Two groups needed clinic, endoscopies and pathology comparison.[Result]Clinical research showed that in cure group the notable effective rate was 96.0%, while in contrast group57.7%, with statistic significance(p<0.05).The atrophy was72.0%,while these figures in control group was 50.0% respectively, with statistic significance(p<0.05).The effective rate of intestinal metaphase and gastro scope in treatment group were50.0%,62.5%,while the control group were 50.0%,27.3%,without statistic significance(P>0.05)[Discussion]According to the analysis, modified chaihu shugan decoction can not only ameliorate clinical symptom, but also reverse pathologic station effectively. The results show that this prescription has much more advantage than for chronic atrophic gastritis. According to smooth the liver, regulate qi and normalize stomach as well as Differential Treatment, the Chinese herbal compound plays an integral regulation role, and has significant effect. The results also prove that the traditional Chinese medicine shows some characteristic and certain advantage. And it is an effective prescription for the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis.
